About The Position

Our Sandblaster is responsible for preparing the surfaces by removing rust, coatings, or other materials through an abrasive blasting process. The Sandblaster ensures that C&B's ductile iron and steel are prepared and properly cleaned to be ready for coating or finishing in accordance with C&B Piping's quality and safety standards.

Requirements

STRONG safety awareness for yourself and others, no exceptions.
Must be able to read a measuring tape and use basic mathematical skills.

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or GED Preferred.
Previous experience in an Industrial sandblasting environment is a plus!
Forklift experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

Operating sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces of our products.
Inspecting materials before and after blasting to ensure surfaces meet required quality standards.
Load and position parts safely within blasting area and equipment.
Maintain proper blasting pressure and abrasive levels.
Follow all safety guidelines related to blasting equipment, ventilation systems, and always wearing the proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Supporting other production or finishing tasks as needed.
Maintaining general housekeeping of the blasting area and equipment.
Report any and all equipment issues, defects, or safety concerns.
Assisting with materials utilizing forklifts or other equipment when required.
