About The Position

We are actively hiring for the position of Industrial Sewer for our plant in Salt Lake City, UT. Shift: 1st Shift Monday to Friday (Start between 8:00–10:00 AM, End between 4:00–6:00 PM) Duties & Responsibilities Produce finished graphics Activate the sewing machine to join, gather, hem, reinforce, or finish materials/fabricated articles Examine and measure finished articles to verify conformance to standards Cut materials, according to specifications, or cut excess material or thread from a finished product, using a blade, scissors, or electric knife Fold or fit together materials, such as fabric or vinyl, to prepare for machine sewing Mount attachments, such as needles, cutting blades, or pattern plates, and adjust machine guides according to specifications Monitor machine operation to detect problems, such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions Troubleshoot problems as they arise Other fabrication duties as assigned MUST be able to operate a computer with basic computer skills MUST be able to lift up to 40lbs. Qualifications Industrial sewing experience Mechanical and artistic aptitude Attention to detail Cutting skills Ability to multitask Physical Requirements The Sewing Operator position will have the following physical requirements: Standing/Walking (at least 25% of shift). Bending/Twisting/Squatting (at least 25% of shift). Lifting/Pushing/Pulling up to 75 lb. (consistently).
