About The Position
The Learning Experience – Gainesville is seeking a nurturing and dependable Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role focuses on providing responsive care and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for infants in a safe, warm, and structured classroom environment. Our infant program supports early social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through consistent routines, sensory exploration, and meaningful interactions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience working with infants required
- Knowledge of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Ability to meet all Virginia childcare licensing and background requirements
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, responsive care to infants throughout the day
- Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, naps, and individualized schedules
- Engage infants in age-appropriate sensory play, music, and early language activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Observe and support developmental milestones
- Communicate daily with families regarding routines and progress
- Collaborate with teaching teams to ensure consistency and quality care
- Follow all Virginia childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
