About The Position
Infant Toddler & Preschool TEACHER ASSISTANT: Deadline to apply: 3/25/26 Center: West Chestnut Head Start, Springfield MO Work Status: Full-Time: M-F, full year; 40 hours a week, could work shifts between 7:00-5:00 OACAC Head Start is seeking motivated team members for the position of Head Start Preschool Teacher Assistant . As an Assistant Teacher, you will create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that helps children reach their highest potential while partnering with parents and your co-teaching team to help make this happen. You will show exemplary responsive care, while demonstrating classroom management skills, lesson planning and developmentally appropriate practice. Requirements
- Minimum of HS Diploma/GED AND six (6) college credit hours or Preschool CDA.
- Experience working with preschool children.
- Willingness to obtain Early Childhood Development Specialization Certification from Ozarks Tech (paid for by employer).
- Copy of transcript required with application.
