The Infection Prevention Specialist is considered an Infection Prevention Practitioner. An IP Specialist is expected to work autonomously and should not require mentorship in their role. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field.
- Within 1 year of hire: National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology
- 2 years Heathcare experience; 4 years preferred.
- 2 years Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience; 4 years preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field.
