About The Position

The Informatics Pharmacist (Clinical Coordinator) works in the build, implementation, and maintenance of automation and technology to optimize pharmacy practice, pharmacy systems, and the medication‐use process. Specializes in the medication process, from ordering to administration, and is responsible for effective process design, development, and implementation of Electronic Medical Record and Clinical Decision Support build. Supports pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other clinicians as the resource for requests related to pharmacy related EMR system changes and additions. Implements and optimizes the use of technology and the electronic health record to enhance the entire medication use process using both clinical, informatics and leadership skills. Maintains competency in both clinical practice and informatics skills, providing a direct link to the end-user experience. Demonstrates ability to lead strategic projects and workgroups among the team or multiple teams. Responsible for supporting the technical needs of pharmacy-related services and operations. The Informatics Pharmacist (Clinical Coordinator) will also participate as a member of a clinical team, composed of Clinical Coordinators from each Legacy hospital. The team will design, implement, and evaluate all activities related to the drug formulary, drug therapy monitoring, and professional development on a Legacy-wide basis.

Requirements

  • As required by licensure.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in hospital practice required (five years preferred).
  • Current Registered Pharmacist License (RPh) for applicable state required.
