About The Position

Help us protect CrowdStrike and its customers from the most advanced threats! CrowdStrike’s Platform Security team breaks the mold of traditional internal security and focuses on active threats to CrowdStrike’s products. As a Security Engineer Intern you will perform: complex investigations to determine root cause and remediation, technical security assessments of systems, monitor for emerging threats, create tooling for known gaps, and deploy large-scale security/monitoring systems.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled and completed at least 2 years at a 4-year university by the start of the internship, working towards a Bachelor’s degree and graduating in 2028.
  • Strong security acumen and experience solving complex issues
  • Strong analytical, data focused mindset to solve complex multi-system engineering projects
  • Experience working with Linux and/or other Unix-like variants
  • Scripting capabilities shell, Python, Perl, Ruby, or some other automation system
  • Protocol knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, crypto, engineering frameworks, and others
  • Familiarity with IDS and SIEM systems such as Falcon LogScale, Bro, Suricata, Splunk, Elk stack, others
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and highly concurrent systems

  • Examine systems and applications to understand current security posture alongside mentors and contribute recommendations and remediation strategies

  • Identify, design, and partner with teams to implement security and data improvement projects
