As the Information Security Lead Cloud Security Architect, you will establish and govern cloud security standards that support secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions within cloud environments. You will ensure that security principles are embedded in cloud strategies, architectures, and deployments, and may participate directly in implementation when needed. You will lead the design of enterprise cloud security architecture frameworks and ensure their correct implementation across IaaS (Infrastructure), PaaS (Platform), and SaaS (Software) environments, providing guidance, validation, and oversight to maintain consistent security controls and standards. You will collaborate with director level staff regarding cloud strategies and develop and maintain cloud security standards, baselines, and cloud reference frameworks aligned to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Center for Internet Security (CIS), and Zero Trust frameworks. You will conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews for new and existing cloud workloads. You will design cloud-native security capabilities that emphasize desired outcomes such as workload protection, configuration governance, secrets management, and continuous monitoring rather than prescribing specific vendor tools or platforms. You will collaborate with responsible teams to integrate security into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC). You will lead incident response efforts involving cloud infrastructure and cloud-native services. You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to Information Security, Information and Community Technology (ICT), and Aviation Maintenance leadership and staff.

Requirements

  • Experienced – You have three (3) years of experience in cybersecurity, including 2 years in technology architecture.
  • You also have three (3) years of experience using Microsoft Azure security architecture and services, including implementation, configuration and security management.

  • Proficient – You possess scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python). You are skilled in using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and leading security incident investigations.
  • Leader – You can communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, demonstrating a collaborative, team-oriented mindset while driving initiatives independently.
  • Analytical – You possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

  • Desired – We hope you have a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • We also hope you have any of the following licenses/certifications: Microsoft Certified: Microsoft Cybersecurity Architecture (SC-100), Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), Microsoft Security Operations Analyst (SC-200), and/or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Cloud Security Automation (GCSA).

Responsibilities

  • Establish and govern cloud security standards that support secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions within cloud environments.
