Lockheed Martin Aero in Marietta, GA is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern Information Systems Security Officer/ISSO. In this role, you will develop documentation for information system authorization, engage with experienced Information Systems Security Manager’s, and learn how the Classified Cyber Security organization applies the Risk Management Framework to protect and defend information systems. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Windows Operating systems and/or IT and Cybersecurity fundamentals. Must be a US Citizen ; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelors in Information Technology or Cyber Defense.
  • Possess DoD 8570 certification (i.e. CISSP, CISM, Sec+, CAP).
  • Experience in designing, developing and integrating computer systems and networks in compliance with government regulations.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • this position will require a government security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with Risk Managed Framework (RMF) or Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) requirements.
  • Familiar with National Institute of Standards (NIST) Security and Privacy controls and requirements.
  • Proficient at executing security hardening requirements on diverse LINUX and Windows Operating Systems based on approved DISA STIGs and SRGs.
