As a Tier 1 IS Engineer, you will contribute to internal and external customer projects by programming and maintaining monitoring servers, applying patches, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting RMM applications and their databases, all while working closely with Tier 2 Engineers and senior technical staff. Work Schedule & Environment Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Hybrid role: Two remote workdays per week after initial onboarding (Option to work in office all five days if preferred) On-call rotation begins after successful completion of the 90-day review Key Responsibilities Maintain and manage Continuant’s monitoring solutions, devices, and alerting systems. Troubleshoot various operating systems, customer network, and supported equipment. Set up, configure, and maintain monitoring for customers. Perform security risk assessments, including monitoring, investigating, and reporting potential security or access violations. Review system performance metrics and apply system modifications or fixes as needed. Research, test, and evaluate hardware and software solutions. Follow established change management processes. Participate in discussions regarding network deployments, hardware topologies, and customer onboarding. Support Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) deployments, potentially requiring occasional off-shift work. Provide triage, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for hardware, software, and network issues. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year in a technical support, service desk, or help desk role.
  • Foundational understanding of Unified Communications platforms (call managers, voicemail systems, conferencing, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux OS fundamentals, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to ESXi/VMware virtualization technologies and Proxmox
  • Ability to build or interpret reports and dashboards using tools such as ServiceNow and Excel
  • Strong understanding of basic networking principles, protocols, and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and device health systems.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to break down complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication: Able to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Customer-service driven: Builds strong relationships and provides exceptional support.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience wil be considered).
  • Microsoft or Cisco certifications.
  • Linux Professional Institute certification.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+.
  • Familiarity with Java or other scripting languages.
  • Exposure to Unified Communications platforms is a plus.
  • Experience mentoring peers is helpful but not required.
