About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the United States Space Force (USSF) in the design, development, test, and deployment of defensive cyber capabilities. A successful candidate should have a deep understanding of defensive cyber technologies and policy, the relevant stakeholders and their equities, and be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities Establish and prioritize requirements for rapid development and fielding of leading defensive cyber capabilities Actively engage and collaborate within and across Agile teams to ensure the Sec in DevSecOps. Execute or ensure automation of various cybersecurity tests/scans required throughout the DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline. Coordinate with model-based systems engineers, cloud architects, and configuration management personnel to ensure cybersecurity requirements are integrated early in design/development phase, and throughout the software development lifecycle. Continuously learn and understand cyber threats and threat frameworks (e.g. ATT&CK), and rapidly update requirements and tools to be threat relevant. Basic Qualifications: BS degree and 12-15 years of prior relevant experience as an ISSE and cyber security. DoD 8140 Qualification Advanced level Experience working with or in military defensive cyber stakeholder organizations: primary examples are applicable cyber USSF Combat Forces Command staff or Mission Deltas US Citizen A Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and prior SAP is desired). Preferred Qualifications: Technical understanding of current USSF defensive cyber policy, requirements, and capabilities Additional experience with Space Systems Command, Space Rapid Capabilities Office, Space Development Agency, Missile Defense Agency, NRO, and any organization/community engaged in deploying Space systems requiring defensive cyber tools Familiarity with model-based systems engineering and cloud services and architectures Prior military experience with skills applicable to cyber operations If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling. Pay Range: Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Requirements
