About The Position

We are seeking an Information Systems Security Specialist to provide technical and cybersecurity support for the Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP). This role involves sustainment engineering, modernization, and risk management for SATCOM systems supporting Navy operations.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; technical training in cybersecurity per DoD 8570.1M / DoD 8140.
• Experience: 3+ years in Cybersecurity, Engineering, Test & Evaluation, or Assessment & Authorization (A&A).
• Working knowledge of RMF and DIACAP processes.
• Familiarity with IA tools (eMASS, ACAS).
• Specialized Experience: 3+ years with CBSP Ship and Shore systems, SATCOM network architecture, and software configuration.
• Experience implementing cybersecurity policy and compliance.
• Clearance Required: Secret

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CSaT (Commercial SATCOM as Transport).
• Ability to plan and implement cybersecurity measures for resilient networks.

Responsibilities

• Perform Technical Sustainment Support (TSS), Sustainment Engineering (SE), Modernization Support (MS), Logistic Support (LS), and other SATCOM Technical Support Service for the Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP): AN/USC 69(V)1,2,3 surface, and shore; and crypto and modems associated with the preceding systems.
• Provide Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP) Program of Record (POR) activities to include, but not limited to PITCO, SOVT, PICO, Engineering/Field Changes, CASREP analysis (entries in Information Technology Service Management ITSM), Technical Feedback Reports (TFBR), and Engineering/Technical reviews.
• Provide CONUS/OCONUS on-site technical assist visits and support to troubleshoot problems and resolve equipment issues, perform equipment testing to verify systems for full functionality, test, identify, and replace failed components, and provide technical support for existing system lab assets and sites.
• Conduct Pre-Installation Test and Check Out (PITCO) Support Services.
• Assist with Pre-Installation Check Off (PICO) prior to installation.
• Provide onsite support for software installation, and system turnover processes to include pre-installation production/assembly and testing of systems, staging, and shipping of installation materials, on-site installation and System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT), training, and operational cutover.
• Provide the status of assigned tasks via both prepared and ad hoc oral briefings to senior Navy personnel. Must be able to develop written instructions, procedures, schematics and other technical data deliverables and documentation, as applicable.
• Conduct Risk Management Framework (RMF) Workflow Assessments, to include Security Assessment Reports (SARs) and POAMs, for specified projects (NSLCA, CBSP, STtNG, CSat Shore)
• Attend routine meetings to brief and represent NWIC LANT on specified equipment Security standards/baseline
• Create Mandatory Security Updates (MSUs) monthly or otherwise specified for Fleet services.
• Maintain specified projects critical security updates/patches for equipment. (i.e., Windows Computers, Cisco Routers, and Servers)
• Provide technical expertise for development or implementation of controls.
