About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Information Technology intern for a 10-week summer internship. This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Station, FL. Essential Functions Responds to telephone calls, emails and in-person requests for a variety of technical issues in a timely and courteous manner. Maintains a high degree of end user support that ensures that equipment, software, communications and training is sufficient for all end user needs. Works in collaboration with the IT department to resolve problems and provide technical fixes. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems for end users. Documents, tracks and monitors problems to ensure timely resolution. May assist IT personnel in the tech refresh deployments, installation of hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and other similar or related equipment. Develops strong understanding of company operations, requirements, and objectives to ensure that all IT operations support corporate objectives. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and written
  • Organizational and time management skills to balance, plan, prioritize, and execute projects
  • Ability to work within a dynamic, fast paced environment with time constraints.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BS) or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
