About The Position

Our Information Technology team is seeking a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join a 10-week full-time summer program. The intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of information technology, contributing to the overall success of our organization. This internship will provide exposure to a wide range of IT functions, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge to real-world scenarios. The internship has a start date in late May or early June 2026 and is available as a 10-week, full-time position.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field.
  • Basic understanding of IT concepts, systems, and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Assist end-users by troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Respond to and resolve help desk tickets in a timely manner.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of IT projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Provide status updates and reports on project progress.
  • Contribute to the administration of servers, ensuring their reliability and efficiency.
  • Assist in routine system backups and recovery procedures.
  • Work with senior IT staff to implement system upgrades and patches.
  • Support the organization’s cybersecurity efforts by assisting with monitoring, analysis, and documentation of security controls and practices.
  • Assist with vulnerability assessments, security awareness initiatives, and incident response preparation.
  • Learn about information security principles, risk management, and compliance requirements in a nonprofit environment.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure network security and optimal performance.
  • Participate in the implementation of network upgrades and enhancements.
