About The Position

The Information Technology Intern will contribute to enhancing SI Group's business process efficiency. This role involves engaging in a variety of projects and responsibilities that can entail: Assisting with the design, development, testing, and documentation of AI and automation solutions Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions Supporting data preparation, analysis, and visualization activities for AI/ML use cases Participating in proofs of concept (POCs) and pilot projects related to AI technologies Documenting processes, models, and learnings to support knowledge sharing and future scalability Following IT standards, security guidelines, and ethical AI principles Exposure to real business use cases and large-scale systems Opportunities to present findings and contribute ideas Essential Solutions with Extraordinary Results SI Group is a global leader in the innovative technology of performance additives, process solutions, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and chemical intermediates. Requirements

  • Degree program must be Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Science/Technology, or other related STEM major.
  • Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, or data analytics concepts
  • Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, SQL, or JavaScript)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn new technologies
  • Completed a minimum of one year of a degree-granting four-year College or University (rising Juniors or Seniors preferred)
  • Must be 18 years or older, and be an active undergraduate/graduate in good academic standing
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Eligible for work within the US without sponsorship
  • Completion of pre-employment screening requirements of a background check and drug testing
