About The Position

The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Information Technology Manager to join the team in Everett, WA; Hazelwood, MO; Seattle, WA; or North Charleston, SC. We are seeking a dynamic Information Technology (IT) Manager to lead our Electrical Engineering Software Development Team. The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions that enable the electrical engineering department's operations. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate, motivate, and inspire cross-functional teams. Effective communication is crucial, as the candidate will proactively keep team members and stakeholders informed about timing and delivery expectations. They will also promptly identify and address critical issues while possessing a can-do attitude and approach their work with enthusiasm and determination.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in leading teams
  • 5+ years of experience in information technology or technical support
  • 3+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification
  • Experience in Agile methodology
  • Experience developing software solutions for electrical engineering applications, such as circuit design, simulation, or analysis
  • Experience with software development methodologies, programming languages (such as C++, Java, or Python), and software development tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Electrical Engineering Software Development Team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members
  • Develop and implement software solutions that meet the needs of the electrical engineering department, ensuring high quality, reliability, and scalability
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish project timelines
  • Manage the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Ensure adherence to software development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their potential application to enhance software development processes and tools
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring timely delivery of software solutions and adherence to service level agreements
  • Monitor and optimize software performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal system functionality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and IT support, to ensure seamless integration of software solutions with existing systems and processes

  • Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
  • Summary pay range: $140,250 – $203,550
