About The Position

Amentum is seeking system engineering professionals with related education and/or experience to support systems and software development in support of the Navy and Marine Corps at Dahlgren, VA. You will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts in support of our Centers of Excellence. We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere that are eager to make a difference by solving complex Digital Engineering challenges. Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities Include: Supporting Marine Corps Training Systems. The operation, maintenance, and support of the USMC system's underlying infrastructure. A strong understanding of virtualization technologies, scripting languages, operating systems, and complex system architectures. Troubleshooting issues, document procedures, and collaborating with other team members to ensure the stability, security, and performance of the USMC infrastructure. Being a self-motivated problem-solver with a passion for learning and a commitment to providing excellent technical support.

Requirements

  • 5 + years’ experience in computer/system networking.
  • AWS tactical knowledge in BL9 or BL10 environments.
  • Programming or development experience.
  • VMware or IaaS certifications.
  • Containerization experience (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start)
  • Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Computer Networking
