About the IT Infrastructure Engineer: The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting MarketStar's networks, servers, and systems.

Requirements

  • Server 2016+ administration
  • Local Active Directory administration
  • Google Workspace administrations

Nice To Haves

  • AWS administration
  • Familiarity with Cisco & Juniper switches (VLAN changes, etc.)
  • Hyper-V administration

Responsibilities

  • Azure Engineering
  • Architect, deploy, and manage Azure cloud services including:
  • Azure AD / Entra ID
  • Subscriptions, resource groups, RBAC, and ARM/Bicep templates
  • Virtual Networks, VPN, Private Endpoints, and Azure Firewall
  • Azure Virtual Desktop, VM workloads, and storage accounts
  • Implement and maintain Azure policy , blueprints , landing zones, and governance frameworks.
  • Optimize Azure resources for cost efficiency , performance , and security posture .
  • Microsoft 365 Engineering
  • Manage and secure Microsoft 365 workloads including:
  • Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive
  • Teams and collaboration services
  • Compliance Center, DLP, Data Lifecycle, and Insider Risk Manage
  • Intune: Build new device policies
  • Build compliance policies
  • Deploy & update applications
  • Support advanced security features including:
  • Defender for Office 365
  • Identity Protection & Conditional Access
  • M365 audit, sensitivity labels, and information protection
  • Security & Identity
  • Implement Zero Trust principles across identity, devices, and network layers.
  • Maintain and enhance cloud security using:
  • Microsoft Defender for Cloud
  • Microsoft Sentinel
  • Defender for Identity & Endpoint
  • Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, and Secure Score
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and work with Security to remediate findings.
  • Support incident response and root-cause analysis for cloud-related security events.
  • Networking & Hybrid Connectivity
  • Ensure proper routing, segmentation, and secure access patterns for cloud workloads.
  • Administer Azure Network Security Groups.
  • Support Azure DNS, private resolver, and global load‑balancing services.
