About The Position

RW Thrive—a growing, employee-owned company—is seeking an Infrastructure Engineering Manager to lead the architecture, reliability, and evolution of our core infrastructure platforms. This role will guide a team of infrastructure engineers while partnering across IT, security, and business teams to ensure our identity, endpoint, networking, and cloud systems are resilient, secure, and positioned to support the organization’s long-term technology strategy and operational excellence. RW Thrive is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineering Manager to lead the architecture, delivery, and operational excellence of our core technology infrastructure. This role combines deep technical expertise with people leadership, guiding a team of infrastructure engineers while remaining actively involved in system design, complex troubleshooting, and operational readiness. The Infrastructure Engineering Manager serves as a key technical authority, ensuring our platforms are secure, scalable, and resilient while partnering across the organization to support business growth, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and directly-related experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering spanning design, implementation, and operations
  • Demonstrated expertise in: 1. Microsoft 365 architecture and operations 2. Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) and identity management 3. ITSM design and operational processes 4. Endpoint management platforms 5. Enterprise networking 6. Security operations and incident response
  • Proven experience leading infrastructure operations while maintaining hands-on technical depth

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing infrastructure within regulated or security-sensitive environments strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Owns the end-to-end architecture of core infrastructure platforms, from design through production operations
  • Leads the design, implementation, and evolution of: 1. Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) 2. Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) and enterprise identity and access management 3. Endpoint management platforms (Intune, device lifecycle, compliance) 4. Enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless networking 5. Core security and security operations tooling
  • Ensures infrastructure solutions are secure by design, scalable, and aligned with business, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Evaluates emerging technologies and drives modernization initiatives where they deliver measurable business value
  • Acts as the technical owner for identity platforms, including authentication, authorization, conditional access, and lifecycle automation
  • Designs and maintains endpoint management standards covering device provisioning, configuration, compliance baselines, patch management, and lifecycle strategy
  • Ensures identity and endpoint solutions align with Zero Trust principles and enterprise security posture
  • Partners closely with security leadership to support security operations, incident response, and threat mitigation
  • Embeds logging, monitoring, alerting, and operational telemetry across infrastructure platforms
  • Leads root cause analysis for major incidents and ensures corrective and preventative actions are implemented
  • Balances security, usability, performance, and operational stability in all infrastructure decisions
  • Owns infrastructure availability, performance, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness, including capacity planning
  • Establishes and enforces standards for change management, configuration management, documentation, and operational runbooks
  • Drives continuous improvement across infrastructure processes, automation, and tooling
  • Leads, mentors, and develops infrastructure engineers through coaching, technical guidance, and career development
  • Sets clear technical direction while empowering engineers to own outcomes
  • Fosters a culture of accountability, learning, and operational rigor
  • Serves as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues
  • Partners with application, security, compliance, and business teams to translate business requirements into technical designs and infrastructure roadmaps
  • Communicates complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
