Summary: We are currently hiring for the position of Infusion Center Mixing Technician at our Cumming, GA location. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care and related support, including routine medication preparation and inventory management while supporting and demonstrating TwelveStone’s values and philosophies in the accomplishment of our mission. This position is not eligible for telework.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Unrestricted Certified Pharmacy Technician required.
  • May substitute a bachelor’s degree in nursing or associate's degree in nursing and current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
  • Two years of experience in hospital IV room or home infusion required.
  • Must have working knowledge of computer systems, insurance and 3rd party payors, medications and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up, cleans, and disinfects exam rooms and medical equipment and maintains stock of medications and medical supplies.
  • Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
  • Receives medical supplies and inventory.
  • Manages medication and medical supply inventory systems.
  • Maintains an accurate and organized record of all transactions occurring in mixing room.
  • Collects data from patients, including insurance information, demographics, and home medication lists.
  • Verifies benefits prior to Infusion Center appointments.
  • Collects Out of Pocket/Co-insurance payments from patients.
  • Safely and aseptically prepares biologic and other medications for Infusion Center patients.
  • Must report to work on time, maintain acceptable attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
