Position Summary The RN Infusion Nurse & Coordinator provides high-quality infusion nursing care while coordinating infusion scheduling, patient communication, and clinical workflows. Requirements

• Registered nurse.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification required.
• Solid nursing background, concentration, or willingness to obtain advanced knowledge in GI specialty.
• Priority setting, application of judgment, communication skill and tact.

• Membership in local, state, and national societies is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Infusion RN will place IV’s.
• Administer IV medication, and fluids as ordered.
• Monitor patients’ IV medications and tubing.
• Give intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as ordered.
• Perform phlebotomy as needed, or as prescribed/ordered.
• Monitor patients during infusion and discharge patients as policies indicate.
• Provide patient education and instruction.
• Maintain patient centered data in a neat and organized manner including chart entries, documentation, or communications to be sent externally.
• Comply with adverse event reporting and patient privacy policies.
• Maintain accurate and complete records, documenting all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient response.
