Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Scientific Molding or related course work.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and scientific molding experience preferred
  • Knowledge of process troubleshooting using scientific molding methods.
  • Knowledge of injection molding machinery, control systems (electric, hydraulic, pneumatic).
  • Knowledge of material handling/auxiliary equipment, dryers, conveyors, Etc.
  • Knowledge of auxiliary equipment (mold temperature controllers, hot runner controllers, sprue pickers, robots).

Nice To Haves

  • LSR/Medical Molding Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all start-up, shutdown, and troubleshooting of the molding process during normal production run.
  • Coordinate and/or setup all secondary and auxiliary equipment as needed for each job
  • Ensure that the production activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures
  • Promote safety, quality and environmental awareness at all times
  • Communicate with management, quality assurance and shop floor daily to discuss all modeling related issues
