About The Position

Inpatient Pharmacist - Casual Bellevue Medical Center | Bellevue, NE Nebraska Medicine is hiring an Inpatient Pharmacist to join our team at the Bellevue Medical Center. This role will primarily support inpatient floor-based care and clinical rounding, with additional responsibilities in central pharmacy operations. The position is replacing a Pharmacist Specialist and is well suited for a pharmacist who enjoys direct patient care, collaboration with providers, and practicing in a hospital-based environment. We are posting this role with a preference for a Pharmacist Specialist background, given the clinical and rounding expectations of the position, though qualified generalist candidates may also be considered. Role Highlights Provide inpatient pharmaceutical care, including medication review, monitoring, and clinical recommendations Participate in interdisciplinary rounding and support floor-based clinical workflows Support central pharmacy operations as needed Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy colleagues to ensure safe and effective medication use Contribute to education, quality improvement efforts, and precepting as appropriate Details Casual ( 0 FTE ) Varied Shifts 6:30am - 9:30pm Days + evenings and weekends (every 4th weekend) with one minor holiday a year. Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required.
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program, as deemed appropriate for patient facing roles and relevant to practice.

Nice To Haves

  • American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency preferred.
  • Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient pharmaceutical care, including medication review, monitoring, and clinical recommendations

  • Supervise pharmacy services in assigned patient care area and ensure all medication related patient and care provider needs are met.
  • Work proactively as a member of a team(s) to ensure the provision of optimal pharmaceutical care.
  • Demonstrate a dedication to continual and constant quality improvement.
