About The Position

Join our telepharmacy team as a Remote Staff Pharmacist, supporting multiple hospitals across several states. You’ll leverage technology and clinical expertise to verify medication orders, support care teams, and ensure safe, high‑quality patient care from a fully remote environment.

Requirements

  • Degree in Pharmacy (B.S in Pharmacy or PharmD.)
  • 2+ years’ experience in a hospital inpatient setting preferred
  • Valid Texas Pharmacist license issued by the governing State Board of Pharmacy. Additional licensure will be requested in the future coverage needs.
  • High speed internet service through a cable or fiber provider (satellite is not supported)
  • Strong clinical knowledge and comfort working across multiple systems
  • Ability to work part‑time hours that may include evenings, overnights, and/or weekends
  • Effective communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Proficiency with office technology tools, to include MS Office 2000 or later (esp. Outlook, Excel, and Word), Google Drive, internet, and email
  • If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

Responsibilities

  • Complete remote order entry, order verification, and drug verification.
  • Provide patient counseling when needed.
  • Navigate multiple pharmacy information systems (PIS).
  • Provide drug information and therapeutic guidance to providers.
  • Assess medication appropriateness, dosing (including renal/hepatic adjustments), interactions, and compatibilities.
  • Support specialized populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant/nursing patients, HIV, and those with renal/hepatic impairment.
  • Maintain knowledge of IV therapies, TPN, cardiac/narcotic drips, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and more.
  • Document interventions and clinical actions accurately and promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy laws, and client policies.
  • Work across VPNs, automation systems, and multiple PIS platforms.
  • Use applications such as Google Suite/Microsoft Office and Snagit.
  • Maintain required licenses, credentials, and system access.
  • Participate in ongoing training (clinical, PIS, and policy updates).
  • Meet productivity and quality standards.
