About The Position

The Inside Sales Engineer will provide customer sales and support for Commercial contractor sales of HVAC equipment and HVAC parts, and supplies. This role is an exciting opportunity for a self-driven individual who will be responsible for working collaboratively with the commercial sales team as a technical advisor and product advocate. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, pricing, and quoting technical and financial solutions that position CE as a viable solution for the customer and marketplace. This position is eligible for performance-based bonuses and incentives.

Requirements

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and CRM/Database tools; ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical control systems with expert-level product knowledge and applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and make informed recommendations; experience working with contractors is highly desired
  • 3-5+ years of commercial HVAC engineering or applications experience, or equivalent technical knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Field, or equivalent successful experience in a similar technical role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with strong self-management and organizational capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Respond to new business opportunities from Account and Sales Managers and create competitive quotes for commercial sales accounts
  • Assist Account Managers and Sales Managers with account development and introduce new products to Engineers and Mechanical Contractors
  • Complete bids, submittals, and take-offs based on plan reviews and detailed specifications for commercial projects
  • Follow up on all quotes, bids, and submittals through the sales cycle to finalize deals
  • Engage with customers, manufacturers, and internal sales teams through phone and email correspondence
  • Provide training and support to Commercial dealers to enhance product knowledge and sales capabilities
  • Address customer concerns while maintaining alignment with company mission, values, and financial objectives
  • Recognize and communicate customer needs and market opportunities to support business expansion and future revenue
  • Travel with the Sales Team as needed for client presentations and trade show participation
