About The Position

The Inside Sales Manager – Industrial & B2B directs and supports all Industrial and B2B-related inside sales functions within the specified VSP location and facilitates the maximization of resources to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence, and company goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Inside sales/customer service experience

Nice To Haves

  • Some college or higher-level technical training (Preferred)
  • Supervisory experience (Preferred)
  • Formal leadership and management training (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of Account Specialists directing and supporting inside sales functions and facilitating the maximization of resources to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence, and company goals.
  • Perform all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage the personnel assigned
  • Coordinate the adaptation of the team to growing market trends, including the promotion of a team-focused environment
  • Collaborate with leadership regarding resource planning, reporting, and communications for the personnel assigned
  • Identify and immediately address concerning patterns, including heightened error rates, overtime procedures, and usage, and time management matters
  • Responsible for staff development within the assigned team of Account Specialists
  • Participate in key customer interactions to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure proper training of personnel assigned utilizing VSP technology, including but not limited to MAS500, Salesforce, and internal VSP programs
  • Develop and present creative, process improvement ideas to streamline quote and order entry functions.
  • Directly involved in evolving the Industrial and B2B team to a proactive sales force
  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of department-related cyber-security measures, including computer access and password protection
  • Support VSP’s goal for increased forecast and budget accuracy through opportunity transparency, including tracible, electronic quotes, and hit-rate tracking
  • Work closely with other departments to help support the procedures, processes, and goals of the company
  • Provide constructive feedback to team members on a regular basis, including routine one-on-one meetings
  • Provide feedback to the Director of Customer Service regarding the team’s performance, staffing needs, and productivity
  • Proper implementation and adherence to VSP’s Quality Program
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate that will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness
  • Project a favorable image of the company to promote, foster, and enhance public recognition of the company and its products and services
  • Adheres to all company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures as outlined in the VSP Health & Safety Manual. Actively contributes to maintaining a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace in alignment with VSP standards
