Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills to use Excel, Word, and Email.
  • Skilled in typing, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed written bid specifications.
  • Ability to make phone contact with customers and prospects at all levels of a business.
  • Must work well with others and possess good people skills.
  • Will be working closely with multiple departments such as Sales, Service, Rental, Parts, and Manufacturing.
  • Telephone Skills required
  • Must be in physical condition as job requires lifting, stooping, and bending.
  • Operate equipment such as forklift.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good safe driving record to be insured by the company auto insurance policy.
  • High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
  • Experience in Parts / Service industry with particular emphasis on coordinating service responsibilities with service technicians and parts personnel.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare customer quotations to company standards.
  • Clearly states pricing and services to be performed on all quotes.
  • Files all quotes and sales in an orderly manner to allow for quick reference when customers make inquiries or when follow-up calls are needed to determine the status of a quote with a customer.
  • Makes follow up calls daily to inquire about pending quotes.
  • Submits sales reports to the General Service Manager for review and reports all quotes and sales activity for each month.
  • After a sale is finalized, submit the quote and all pertinent details of the sale to the Service Department to assure accurate work scheduling and involvement.
  • Reviews and processes customer service contracts to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of larger customers and corporations.
  • Provides company information, company history, safety data, job references, certificates of insurance and other requirements of service and PM work contracts.
  • Establishes bid pricing, parts pricing, travel pricing and other charges to ensure that bids are complete and competitive.
  • Maintains a research cross-reference file to correctly identify parts.
  • Obtain prices on special parts and assemblies from. e Research Analyst at headquarters office.
  • Furnishes customers with recommended parts inventory.
  • Trains customers in the use of parts catalogs and PSO cards.
  • All other duties as assigned.
