About The Position

As an Inside Sales Representative at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will drive volume growth and maximize profitability within an assigned territory by delivering industry-leading customer service and operational excellence. This role plays a key part in building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships while collaborating closely with outside sales representatives to achieve shared sales and performance goals. You will balance proactive customer engagement with precise order execution in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is located in Wheatland, PA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with computer-based systems and CRM tools.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with outside sales representatives to drive revenue growth and meet performance targets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring consistent communication and superior service.
  • Proactively identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance the customer experience.
  • Execute outbound prospecting efforts, including cold calling, to expand the customer base.
  • Manage all aspects of customer service and order fulfillment with precision and efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order processing from initial request through final delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper handling of orders with special characteristics.
  • Monitor market conditions and communicate key insights, trends, and competitive pricing updates to sales management.
  • Determine competitive pricing strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Oversee customer inventory programs to prevent excess stock and obsolescence.
  • Coordinate expedited shipping for ready-to-ship materials to meet customer deadlines.
  • Provide territory coverage when the primary representative is unavailable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
