About The Position

SUMMARY: The Inside Sales Support Specialist assists with remote sales development calls and processes for a defined territory or portfolio of customers. This role partners closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and identify potential sales opportunities. The Specialist initiates customer outreach to promote new and existing products and services, offers special discounts and promotions, and provides essential account management support. A key responsibility is providing accurate product information to support customer needs, driving up sales, and meeting sales targets. The role also manages routine support tasks such as processing renewals and sales orders. A critical component of this position is communicating in a positive, professional, and supportive manner with a strong sense of urgency while consistently projecting a positive attitude. This position also includes basic sourcing of various packaging materials. POSITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Process inside sales orders for next-day delivery. Manage account activities, including RFQs and sourcing commodity packaging items (boxes, stretch film, tape, etc.). Confirm product availability and verify Gross Profit % accuracy on each order. Process 15–20 sales orders daily with accuracy and efficiency. Answer all incoming calls within two to three rings. Provide sales support to three or more outside sales representatives. Research products using Legacy ERP system and vendor websites. Prepare customer and sales representative quotes daily via phone, email, or customer portals. Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned. Deliver outstanding customer service by going above and beyond expectations.

Requirements

  • Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as quotes, orders, and product specifications.
  • Strong math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees, customers, and supervisors.
  • Self-starter with the ability to stay productive without constant supervision
  • Receptive to direction and able to build positive working relationships with supervisors and team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in computers and relevant software applications, primarily Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • High School Education or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience dealing with customers in a similar environment

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of ERP systems preferred.
  • Packaging industry knowledge preferred but not required.
