The Water Division of AECOM is actively seeking a Inspector III for immediate employment in the Pittsburgh, PA office. This position provides the opportunity to work on large, unique, and complex water projects in Pittsburgh and throughout the country. The job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Requirements

  • HS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid US Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must pass the AECOM Motor Vehicle screening
  • As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Construction inspection experience required; or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
  • Thorough understanding of construction principles and practices
  • Ability to document any and all relevant events, issues and variances
  • Good active written and verbal communication with construction personnel and engineers
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications

Responsibilities

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
  • Provides on the job training to new employees.
  • Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
  • Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
  • Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
  • Tracks quality assurance progress.
  • Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
