About The Position

Role Summary: We are seeking a Quality Inspector to support Production operations by providing outstanding customer service and quality inspections to ensure Flowserve standards and Customer expectations are being met. In this role you will perform visual and documented inspections in accordance with applicable drawings, procedures, specifications and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Effectively write and document non-conformances within NCR system, supported with photographs, reports, etc. for review and evaluation by Engineering. Effectively communicate with cell lead assigned tasks and shift priorities as needed. Responsibilities: Inspection of production components in various stages of completion utilizing precision mechanical inspection techniques and tools Document & communicate any identified defects of non-conforming material utilizing an NCR (nonconforming materials) process Escalate concerns that are not being properly resolved in your immediate work area Establish and maintain strong relationships with team members within the Quality and partnering teams Visually detect and document defects in a fast-paced environment Identify and differentiate between several defect types. Determine severity of a defect and the required response Perform equipment final inspections and document any non-conformances Perform detailed daily record keeping and reporting of quality issues that will be referenced by technicians, engineers and management Other duties as directed Requirements: HS Diploma or GED 10+ years in machining, quality control or related field Competency using various measurement and inspection tools. (Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Bore Gages, Dial Indicators, Scales, etc) Ability to read and interpret machine and casting drawings with geometric dimensioning and tolerances Ability to read and interpret bills of materials, parts lists and material specifications Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical with positive, can-do attitude Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills Ability to lift 50 pounds using proper lifting equipment and perform duties while standing for extended periods of time Preferred: Experience with calibration of inspection tools Knowledge and utilization of CMM or FAROarm is a plus Knowledge of welding, NDE and quality systems Experience with sand castings and fabrications Knowledge of ISO standards Ability to drive a fork-lift and operate overhead crane Benefits Starting from Day 1: Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance (including FSA and HSA options) Life Insurance + Supplemental Life, Child, Spousal, and AD&D Insurance Short and Long Term Disability Retirement Planning, 401(k) plan, & Financial Wellness Resources Educational Assistance Program Time off Policies (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid vacation) Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 10+ years in machining, quality control or related field
  • Competency using various measurement and inspection tools. (Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Bore Gages, Dial Indicators, Scales, etc)
  • Ability to read and interpret machine and casting drawings with geometric dimensioning and tolerances
  • Ability to read and interpret bills of materials, parts lists and material specifications
