About The Position

GovCIO is currently hiring for an experienced Installation Associate 4 opportunity supporting our Special Operations Support Services Business Unit fully onsite in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This position is for the installation, operations, and maintenance of audio-visual systems and projects. The candidate must possess strong leadership and technical skills and will be working in a small team environment. The candidate must possess a great attitude, be flexible, have strong communication skills, and demonstrate a continuous willingness to learn, teach, and develop the team.

Requirements

  • High School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • Clearance Required: Secret
  • Current and active U.S. Passport.
  • Current and active U.S. Driver's License.
  • Attain an AVIXA Certified Technology Specialists (CTS) within 180 days of employment.
  • Must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment, including a protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor, and chemical/biological protective garments.
  • Medically/Physically fit for deployment with U.S. Military Forces Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) under the provisions of USCENTCOM Medical Standards.
  • Must be able to travel CONUS & OCONUS up to 25% of the time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work in austere environments while OCONUS.

Nice To Haves

  • Active TS, or ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI
  • Experience working in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility processes and procedures
  • Experience with IT devices such as servers, graphic cards, and video display systems.
  • Experience with basic PC functionality. Software updates, firmware, drivers and changing out video cards.
  • Experience with Audio Visual equipment.
  • Experience with cable/fiber infrastructure.
  • BICSI Infrastructure, Copper and Fiber Certifications.
  • Experience with Uninterruptable Power Supplies.
  • Knowledge of AV over IP system.
  • Knowledge of Dante AVB system configuration.
  • Knowledge of Crestron, Extron system components/software.
  • Extron AV Associate Certification

Responsibilities

  • Conduct installation services, technical assistance and installation adaptation of various video display system sizes and numerous types of digital signal processors and analog audio installations.
  • Integrate, install, configure, and maintain, complex AV systems, including, projectors, a variety of video walls (LCD / LED), Digital Signal Processors (DSP), microphones, and network-connected devices.
  • Integrates other accessories such as UPS, instrument panels, XLR audio, Dante audio, CAT, video signaling and patch panels.
  • Will monitor and verify quality in accordance with process or other control procedures.
  • Checks components, tests for validation, and troubleshoots electrical systems for conformance to specifications and performs repair, removal, and reinstallation of layer 1 infrastructure, as necessary.
  • Installation of custom infrastructure to length, cable building proficiencies, and insulate connections, cable protection, and cable installation via industry practices.
  • Review technical drawings, record, document, and submit all field changes ("redlines") to ensure as-built drawings reflect the final installation.
  • Assist with support structure levels of troubleshooting, provide high-level technical support, and assist with system solutions to ensure high-quality, reliable AV performance.
  • Mentor and develop junior technicians, coordinate with vendors, ensure compliance with, industry standards, and manage, project timelines.
  • Familiar with technology and industry materials to recommend new technology upgrades, design, signal flow diagrams, and provide, training to end-users on system usage.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose technical, faults in, audio, video, and control systems.
  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving under a project deadline, and leadership skills.
  • Capable of lifting heavy equipment (50 lbs) and working on scaffolding/ladders/lifts.
  • Conducts AV/IT site surveys, project planning, and design support.
  • Makes recommendations on hardware, cabling, and equipment requirements.
  • Plans, builds, and installs cable patch panels and cable infrastructures.
  • Installs and terminates all types of standard IT cable and fiber.
  • Installs AV hardware, cabling, and equipment.
  • Builds equipment rack installation and equipment installations.
  • Uses technical drawings (AV/IT).
  • Conducts integration processes with AV projects.
  • Operates and maintains audio visual components, systems, and/or video teleconferencing suites.
  • Performs inventories of project materials.
  • Configuration database of control hex commands.
  • Tracks, submits, assists with incident reports and materials requests in Service Now.
