About The Position

The Installation Crew Lead will supervise, direct and train crew members to ensure high-quality and cost-effective installation of recreational equipment and systems, including Splashpads, Playgrounds, Adventure-Style Mini Golf Courses and more. Essential Duties : Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required. Supervising and Leading the Crew (15%) Assign tasks and monitor the progress of projects. Ensure the crew adheres to safety standards and work schedules. Ensure field operations team adheres to established practices, policies, and procedures. Project Management (5%) Prioritize projects and procuring necessary materials. Maintain equipment records and project documentation. Complete projects within anticipated cost and time parameters. Exhibit personal and team standards for workmanlike performance and ensure conduct of a manner that reflects favorably on the team, CRS, and the project's owner. Maintenance and Installation (50%) Develop and maintain expert knowledge of manufacturer installation guidelines and specifications for all products being installed. Perform and oversee the installation of playground equipment, splashpads, and other park facilities. Conduct general maintenance tasks such as start-ups, winterizations, and repair work. Equipment Operation (10%) Operate heavy equipment like skid steers, mini excavators, and telehandlers. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and repaired. Quality Control (15%) Monitor work quality and provide performance feedback. Ensure construction standards are upheld. Assume responsibility for achieving high quality and timely installations. Administrative Duties (<5%) Assist with administrative tasks and participate in stand-by status during emergencies. Assist in the hiring of installation team members. Work toward continuous quality improvement. Stay current with changing technology, including software and industry specific programs. Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 to 3 years of field supervision experience preferably in the recreational environment.
  • General understanding of standard construction and trade practices, operations, and equipment (low-voltage electrical, plumbing, concrete work, and excavation desired).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to type and use a mouse.
  • Basic operations in email and internet navigation.
  • Basic skills in use of office productivity software (Word, Excel, and Teams).
  • Valid Driver's License, good driving history, and dependable transportation.
  • Offer contingent on satisfactory findings related to background check to be conducted before start date.

Nice To Haves

  • AA/AS/BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a similar field (preferred).
  • Possession of OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
