Responsibilities
- Works on a traveling installation team, taking direction from the site-based Installation Crew Chief.
- Travel by truck or by airplane to customer sites to install Conair equipment. Typical deployments are targeted for 10 days on, 4 days off, but may vary widely due to job demands.
- If not deployed on installation jobs, perform a variety of tasks in the Conair Franklin factory.
- Work safely; wear proper safety equipment, understand safe work practices, and refuse to do any work in an unsafe manner.
- Prepare and submit expense reports.
- Help crew chief prepare returned hardware & equipment for return to Conair and vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license; meets requirements to drive company vehicles, including pickup trucks pulling a work trailer.
- Ability to take and pass requirements to drive Forklifts, Scissors Lifts, Boom Lifts and other equipment as needed to perform system installations.
- Ability to take and pass OSHA 30-hour construction course, or other Conair or customer dictated safety courses, then to work safely using proper guidelines.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools.
- Experience in (or capability to learn) piping work/structural/electrical power wiring and control wiring.
- Understanding of Conair Plastics Auxiliary Equipment, and the installation of this equipment is preferred; ability to learn details of equipment and installation is a requirement.
- Able to analyze flow diagrams, ISO drawings and factory layout drawings and conceptualize optimum piping and wiring runs.
- Must be able to do physical installation work, for 8-12 hours per day, including at typical factory or silo elevations.
- Must be detail-oriented and precise.
- Must provide efficient, high-quality customer service.
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
