About The Position

The Textile Care Installation Project Manager will ensure that high quality technical service is provided to all Ecolab Textile Care Division customers by managing all aspects of the installation projects including new equipment and upgrades to equipment. This position is also critical in providing guidance through troubleshooting and maintenance support to the Textile Care Sales/Service team. Requirements

  • High School Diploma OR GED + 4 years of mechanical/technical experience
  • Mechanical/electrical/plumbing related experience and/or aptitude; experience with mechanical installations, including working with power and air operated tools
  • Must be proficient in safety protocol including Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space, Hazardous Communication, Hot Work Permit, and more
  • Possess physical ability to maneuver and work around heavy machines
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable 2-yr driving record
  • Availability for weekly overnight travel up to 90% of the time

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with Territory and District Manager, design, communicate and implement the operational plan for completing assigned project.
  • Monitor project progress and take action to resolve project challenges and delays
  • Review installation and system operations, answer technical questions including operational and preventative maintenance inquiries and ensure the Customer/Plant Engineer have a full understanding of the functioning system and that system is functioning properly
  • Understand program and service protocols, leverage resources to improve performance growth and communications
  • Solve customer problems and provide recommendations to the Customer/Plant Engineer and Contractor Identify, develop and gather resources and required information to complete the project. This will include specifications for installations including measurements of doorways, aisles, tanks, developing project schedules, budget and forecasts, and identifying and selecting the most cost-effective materials, resources and appropriate project staff, etc.
  • Facilitate the full installation of systems with a focus on appropriate connections to include: electrical, plumbing and the communication between the computer and dispenser
  • Connect meters that monitor energy usage (water, gas and electrical)
  • Use control/tracking systems to ensure quality, timely results and eliminate scope creep Provide escalated technical support, training and troubleshooting for clients and Territory Managers to ensure full understanding of use/maintenance of systems over the phone or onsite
  • Attend safety training and apply principles learned; ensure proper/safe use of equipment, safeguards, PPE and hazardous materials
  • If required, travel to customer site to conduct visual troubleshooting and support of escalated issues
  • Provide additional training on use/maintenance of systems as required
