About The Position

EAES continues to grow, and we’re looking for a skilled, customer-focused Installation & Service Technician to join our team. If you enjoy hands-on mechanical work, problem-solving, and helping auto repair shops operate at their best, this is the role for you. As an Installation & Service Technician, you’ll work directly with automotive repair shops at their locations to install, maintain, and repair specialty equipment. You’ll ensure installations meet safety and manufacturer standards, diagnose and solve equipment issues, and provide outstanding service that keeps our customers running smoothly. You’ll be the face of EAES onsite—trusted, knowledgeable, and committed to supporting shop productivity and safety.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–3 years of mechanical, electrical, or related technical experience; automotive shop experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A customer-service mindset and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while representing EAES with professionalism and integrity.
  • Valid, unencumbered driver’s license and insurability.
  • Passport required for training and occasional travel to Toronto.
  • Lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Occasional ladder use to access elevated equipment.
  • Working in environments with noise, dust, grease, and varying temperatures.
  • Regular driving between customer sites.

Responsibilities

  • Install automotive shop equipment including lifts, balancers, compressors, alignment systems, diagnostic units, and more.
  • Test, calibrate, and verify that all equipment is operating safely and correctly.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and complete onsite repairs.
  • Train customers on equipment operation, care, and safety best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with shop owners, technicians, and managers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including service notes, parts usage, and equipment records.
  • Manage your tools, vehicle, and service materials with professionalism and care.
  • Provide remote troubleshooting support as needed.
