About The Position

As a HVAC/R Installer, you will repair, maintain, replace and retrofit all types of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment for the benefit of our customers. Install, maintain, and repair various types of Residential HVAC systems, including rooftop units, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and air handling systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions and determine the necessary repairs to ensure optimal system performance. Perform system upgrades and controller cutovers Perform wiring checkout and assists in systems start-ups Perform programming sequence checkout Work independently Assist in the training of other technicians Interpret HVAC and electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to ensure proper installation and service. Work in a professional manner in both occupied finish spaces and construction sites. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards during all installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks

Requirements

  • 1-3 years in HVAC technology, troubleshooting, system controls and repairs
  • Experience reading and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • EPA Universal refrigerant certification required
  • Knowledge of safety practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
  • Lifting weight up to and over 75 lbs. in both a vertical and horizontal range of motion.
  • Crawl, stoop, stand, reach (push/pull) & bend to perform necessary work.
  • Able to ascend and descend on extension ladders, step ladders and stairs using feet and/or hands and arms.
  • Able to drive a company vehicle and walk around at job sites.
  • Reading, computer input, typing and answering the phone.
  • Clarity of vision at both over 20 feet and under 20 inches.
  • Able to judge depth (distance & space relationships), have a good field of vision, and identify and distinguish colors.
  • Adjustment of eye to bring object into sharp focus.
