Requirements

  • Course Development: Collaborate with faculty and subject matter experts to develop and revise online and hybrid courses.
  • Support Services: Provide ongoing support and consultation to faculty on instructional design and technology integration.
  • Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments of instructional materials and courses to ensure quality and effectiveness.
  • Training: Facilitate professional development opportunities for faculty and staff.
  • Innovation: Identify and implement innovative instructional design practices to enhance learning experiences.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technology: Proficiency in using LMS platforms and other educational technologies.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in instructional design and curriculum development. Experience with both enterprise and common 3rd party tools used in online courses, and the ability to adopt new technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field.
  • Previous teaching experience.
  • Experience in project management (managing time, establishing priorities, meeting milestones and deliverables).

Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional materials and courses, ensuring they meet educational standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Faculty Collaboration: Work closely with faculty to understand their needs and provide support in course development and instructional strategies.
  • Course Development: Support the design and development of online and hybrid courses, applying best practices in instructional design and technology.
  • Course Support: Prepare live courses, providing technical and logistical support, and troubleshooting issues during live delivery as needed.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in instructional design and integrate them into the university's programs.
  • Professional Development: Assist with training sessions and workshops for faculty on instructional design and the use of educational technologies.
