About The Position

The Instructional Designer is responsible for creating engaging, effective, and learner-centered instructional materials and experiences. This role involves analyzing learning needs, designing curriculum, developing content, and leveraging technology to deliver impactful training solutions that align with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing, including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
  • Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3 year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
  • Daily overtime required and in-person, predictable attendance.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred). An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • Experience: 3+ years in instructional design or learning development.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools and LMS platforms.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to design for accessibility and inclusivity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with video production, graphic design, and gamification strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Needs Analysis: Conduct assessments to identify learning gaps and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Curriculum Design: Develop instructional strategies, learning objectives, and course outlines for various delivery methods (e-learning, instructor-led, blended).
  • Content Development: Create high-quality learning materials, including storyboards, scripts, multimedia assets, and assessments.
  • Technology Integration: Utilize authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deliver courses.
  • Evaluation: Apply instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and implement evaluation methods (Kirkpatrick levels) to measure effectiveness.
  • Collaboration: Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs), trainers, and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with trends in instructional design, adult learning theory, and emerging technologies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
