About The Position

The Instructional Developer is responsible for generating the content that forms the centerpiece of the instructional programs offered by Project Lead The Way. They use their subject-matter expertise and deep classroom experience to compose, review, and edit instructional support guidance for teachers and compelling learning activities for students. They also monitor the effectiveness of their assigned programs and develop enhancements and modifications as needed. They collaborate with their manager, members of their team, content production specialists, project managers, and others to ensure that their assigned programs meet expectations for quality, schedule, and budget. Occasional travel required.

Requirements

  • 5 years of Computer Science experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in education or in a related field of study.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop instructional materials for PLTW courses, including teacher support resources and student-facing resources, in alignment with established requirements.
  • Revise existing instructional materials in response to changes in existing requirements.
  • Support successful implementation of programs in classrooms by responding to questions and requests from the field.
  • Review formative and assessment program components to ensure alignment with instructional goals.
  • Identify and recommend potential opportunities to incorporate innovative methods and emerging trends within area of expertise.
  • Other duties as assigned.
