Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician with experience in training/educating
  • High School Graduate required, Associate’s degree preferred
  • Licensure, certification and required continuing education as a Certified Medical Assistant or a Certified Patient Care Technician

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver dynamic, effective, and engaging education according to the specified Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician curriculum required.
  • Observes actions during practice, provides positive or corrective feedback, and guide toward the acquisition of skills.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to ensure mastery of the curriculum.
  • Tests for competency and provides remediation as necessary.
  • Creates learning support tools to support students based on demonstrated needs.
  • Grade course activities and post weekly and final grades by the predetermined deadline.
  • Assists in the evaluation of existing materials and programs with the goal of providing the highest quality programs for Virtua Health.
