Join a patient focused tight-knit team of nurse educators led by a dynamic leader, responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff. This position will cover all Perioperative Services . We are looking for a nurse educator who can drive our amazing nursing teams as we are Magnet . Use your nursing experience and education in a meaningful way by guiding the next generation of top-talent nurses! Conduct clinical rounds. Identify the individual and collective learning needs of staff. Develop course curriculum and teach classes, incorporating research findings and using cutting-edge technology (e.g., online learning modules). Promote best clinical practices. Inspire award-winning nurses. Regularly evaluate staff competencies, and provide clinical mentorship and career guidance. This is a full time days position at New York-Presbyterian/Westchester Hospital. Varied start and end times. Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. Requirements
- Master's Degree in Nursing Education
- At least 3 to 5 years of acute care experience in Periop (OR/PACU /PRE OP services and or procedural experience
- Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
- ACLS and BCLS certifications
