About The Position
The Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Tech plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of industrial equipment and processes by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing instrumentation and electrical systems. The I&E Tech will collaborate with Plant Operations and Maintenance to ensure the reliability and functionality of critical systems. Assist with all plant maintenance to ensure the plant is run as efficient as possible Provide input for cost savings and process improvements Keep work areas in an organized and safe condition Follow all safety guidelines to sure compliance
Requirements
- Proficiently troubleshoot electrical control circuits (120vac and 24vdc)
- Knowledge in PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and DCS (Distributed Control System)
- Understanding of 4-20ma controls and transmitters
- Familiar with HART communication protocol
- Experience with motor controls (VFD's, soft-starts and starters)
- 3 years work-related experience
- Ability to operate company equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow direction and standard operating procedures
- Familiar with all current health and safety regulations
- Ability to work alone and with a team
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to speak and comprehend basic English
- Ability to stand and walk frequently; twist, bend and reach on a regular basis
- Ability to work from elevated platforms and boom lifts over 30ft
- Work with caustic chemicals
- High school diploma / GED
