Summary: Applicant must possess a master’s degree from an accredited school that fulfills the academic requirement for Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, from an accredited college or university. Candidates must possess a current, active, and unrestricted California license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) and working toward full licensure. Eligibility to accumulate clinical hours toward full licensure and be qualified to be licensed within two years of employment under appropriate clinical supervision. Behavioral health experience with integrated care and/or primary care is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Experience providing behavioral health services in a community health, primary care, or integrated care setting is preferred. Must have or willing to obtain CPR (BLS Provider) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross. Certification may be obtained prior to orientation. A valid California Driver’s License with a safe driving record, DMV record required. Must be insurable by the program’s insurance carrier. The focus of the position is to integrate care for patients between medical and behavioral health services, working closely with both departments. The Integrated Care Clinician will be responsible for monitoring pre-visit medical screens, provide brief evaluation and intervention, including suicide risk assessment, and will refer to BHS for follow up treatment and case management. Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health, the Integrated Care Clinician of this agency is required to provide both direct services and specialized supportive services to children and adults. Must have the ability to work a variable schedule to meet the client and program needs. This position is funded by a Grant. Must be able to work with the Indian Community, and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.
