Integration & Automation Developer Power Automate & Business Systems Role Overview We are seeking an Integration & Automation Developer to design, build, and maintain the workflows and integrations that connect our core business systems. Power Automate serves as the backbone of our integration and workflow strategy, and this role will be hands-on in building and supporting those solutions. This is a mid-level, builder-focused role. The ideal candidate is comfortable developing platform-native workflows (Power Automate, SharePoint, Salesforce, Quickbooks) and implementing light API-based integrations when needed. The focus is on simple, maintainable, and well-documented solutions that can be easily supported long-term. Key Responsibilities Plan & Design Integrations Collaborate with business teams to understand data flows, approvals, and workflow needs Map source-to-destination fields, synchronization rules, and ownership Evaluate integration options and recommend the most efficient, supportable approach before building Build & Maintain Automations (Power Automate Backbone) Design and maintain Power Automate workflows connecting business systems and managing approvals Build onboarding and approval workflows where no prior automation exists Implement Salesforce automation such as flows, validations, and lifecycle logic Develop SharePoint-based workflows, lists, and approval processes Develop API-Based Integrations (Light to Moderate) Implement API connections when connectors are insufficient, including authentication, field mapping, and transformations Support integrations such as Salesforce to Smartsheet, HR to Accounting, and CRM to Finance platforms Handle basic error handling, retries, and monitoring Document & Standardize Create clear documentation for every workflow and integration, including diagrams and runbooks Establish standards for naming, error handling, and reuse Ensure solutions can be easily understood and supported if ownership changes Escalate Complexity Appropriately Identify when requirements exceed reasonable internal scope Partner with the Director of Business Systems & Technology to scope work and engage contractors Review contractor deliverables to ensure alignment with documented designs Self-Driven & Accountable Ability to work independently – the individual should be capable of receiving a task, coordinating with the appropriate manager or department lead as needed, and carrying the assignment through to completion. Scope Boundaries Expected in This Role: Power Automate workflows and approvals SharePoint workflows and business process automation Salesforce Flows and platform automation Light API development and integration logic Documentation, monitoring, and ongoing support Escalated with Director: Custom integration platforms or middleware High-volume or performance-critical data pipelines Advanced custom connector development Heavily coded or application-level solutions Skills & Experience Required: Experience building workflows or automations using Power Automate or similar tools Experience working with business systems such as CRM, accounting, HR, or project management platforms Comfort working with APIs at a practical level Strong documentation and communication skills Preferred: Salesforce automation experience (Flows, objects, validations) SharePoint Online workflows and approvals Basic scripting experience (JavaScript, Python, or similar) Experience integrating Salesforce, QuickBooks, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
