About The Position

Keystone Human Services is currently seeking an Advanced Program Supervisor to join our team in providing individualized, person-directed support in the areas of intellectual disabilities, mental health, and autism. Our work focuses on inclusion and building communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and fully participate in everything society has to offer. The Advanced Program Supervisor oversees all aspects of program operations to ensure financial, personnel, and service goals are met. This role provides direct supervision of medical services, including psychiatric care, medication management, assessments, diagnoses, counseling, and treatment using the full nursing process. As a key member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, the supervisor supports individuals in developing responsibility for their own health while ensuring high‑quality, person‑centered care.

Requirements

  • Valid state nursing license (LPN or RN)
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience in intellectual disabilities (ID) or a related field
  • Strong clinical nursing competencies and sound professional judgment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to read, interpret, and apply written information
  • Ability to learn and use intermediate computer skills, including software applications and web‑based systems
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a privately insured and maintained vehicle depending on work location
  • Successful completion of all pre‑employment requirements, including clearances and verification

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree with experience in ID or a related field
  • One year of supervisory or management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead program goal‑setting aligned with organizational strategic priorities
  • Conduct effective team meetings and support program development and problem‑solving
  • Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate staff
  • Participate in hiring and selection for supervised positions
  • Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage within budget
  • Monitor service quality and compliance across all program functions
  • Provide backup coverage and after‑hours support as needed
  • Mentor team members and model strong leadership practices
  • Oversee pre‑admission, admission, discharge, and transfer processes related to health needs
  • Review and administer medications; ensure accurate documentation and corrective action
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals on diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Prepare treatment plans and clinical recommendations
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene when needed
  • Maintain communication with families, guardians, and management regarding changes or incidents
  • Oversee medication administration and health/safety compliance
  • Serve as a liaison with community agencies, schools, and partner programs
  • Maintain and review medical and health records for all individuals supported
  • Coordinate, schedule, and accompany individuals to medical appointments as needed
  • Provide health education and plan health‑related activities
  • Serve as a medical resource for staff and individuals
