About The Position

Keystone Human Services is currently seeking a Program Specialist Trainee to join our team of professionals in making a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors and the community. The Program Specialist Trainee assists the Area Supervisor and Direct Support Professionals to enhance and promote the independence of the individuals supported. The Program Specialist Trainee works closely with the Behavioral Health Professional who will provide direction and support in the development and implementation of individual assessments, individual support plans and other associated plans of care, including behavioral support. Keystone Human Services works to create an environment where all people, regardless of ability, can grow, make choices and be valued and contributing members of the community. Keystone Human Services provides community-based services for children, adolescents, adults, and families in the areas of intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health. In addition, we provide technical assistance to governments and other organizations to develop frameworks of support for people with disabilities. We also support educational efforts to promote community understanding and awareness of the value and importance of inclusion for all people in all aspects of society. We offer services and supports in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, and New Jersey in the United States, as well as parts of Eastern Europe and India. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one year experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities or autism
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to utilize internal software programs
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Successful completion of required trainings within specified timeframes, including First Aid and CPR certifications and others mandated by regulations
  • Valid Driver’s License with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle
  • Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including motor vehicle record and criminal background checks
