About The Position

ASRC Federal is looking for an Interior Designer/Building Architect to join our team. We are a small to mid-size, multi-discipline architectural/engineering firm specializing in commercial-type infrastructure and facility design for the United States Air Force, serving specifically at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma. We are seeking qualified applicants to meet the needs of Vance AFB Base Operations Support (BOS) Contract.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts, Fine Arts or Science in interior design; or interior architecture from a university accredited by the Council for Interior Design (CIDA).
  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in hand rendering, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Cloud, SketchUp, and/or other current industry standard design software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident, due to contract requirements, with ability to pass Government background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • License and Certification: National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) Certification is preferred.
  • Registered Interior Designer (or obtain within two years of hire) with the State of Oklahoma Board of Governors of Licensed Architects, Landscape Architects, and Interior Designers is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides interior design services as required, identifies and analyzes customer needs for commercial/industrial construction and renovation projects.
  • Conducts design meetings, studies, and field investigations with in-house engineers, architects, and users to define design parameters for commercial and industrial projects.
  • Develop plans, 3-D models, renderings, specifications, cost estimates and project schedule as required.
  • Reviews and develops interior finish design standards to include furnishings.
  • Assists with performing Quality Control (QC) oversight of field and project activities.
  • Prepares project acquisition packages.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of the Vance AFB Interior finishes Sub-Asset Management Plan (Sub-AMP) by conducting facility assessments and inventories and updating the Sustainment Management System (SMS) database.
  • Balances the interests of a variety of customers and readily readjust priorities to respond to pressing and changing customer demands.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
