Job SummarySt. Paul Catholic School seeks a dedicated, faith‑filled Intermediate Grade Teacher to educate and support students in grades 3–5. The ideal candidate creates a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment while fostering academic growth, strong character, and spiritual development in alignment with the school’s Catholic mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field required.
  • Valid teaching certification for elementary grades preferred.
  • Experience teaching or working with students in grades 3–5 is beneficial.
  • Strong classroom‑management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to integrate faith and academics in meaningful, developmentally appropriate ways.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive learning environment rooted in Catholic values.
  • Creativity, collaboration, and a genuine love for teaching children in the intermediate grades.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver effective instruction in core subject areas, including reading, writing, math, religion, social studies, and science.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and faith experiences into daily lessons and classroom culture.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and meet diverse learning needs.
  • Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations to support learners at varying readiness levels.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments; communicate results to students and families.
  • Establish and maintain consistent classroom routines, expectations, and behavior‑management strategies.
  • Promote social‑emotional growth by modeling respectful behavior, teaching collaboration and problem‑solving, and nurturing confidence and independence.
  • Incorporate technology to enhance instruction, productivity, and student engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and school leadership to support curriculum alignment and student success.
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and faith‑formation activities as part of the school community.
