Requirements

• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
• Graduating August 2026 – May 2028.
• Preferred fields include but not limited to: Business, Data Science, Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with AI functionality such as Gen AI, Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in AI applications and platform scalability.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on emerging AI technologies and industry trends to inform internal strategy and innovation and improve processes.
• Develop prototypes or proof-of-concepts for AI tools that address specific business challenges or operational inefficiencies.
• Gather and synthesize information to support base case development and cost vs. benefit analysis for potential AI opportunities; make recommendations for Lumen investment.
• Support change management efforts by helping teams transition from manual to AI-assisted processes.
• Assist in building dashboards or reports to visualize AI model performance and operational metrics.
• Contribute to the creation of training materials and internal documentation to support AI literacy across teams.
• Help evaluate third-party AI tools or platforms for potential integration into existing systems.
• Participate in cross-functional brainstorming sessions to identify new use cases for AI and automation.
• Track and report on adoption metrics and feedback from teams using AI-enabled solutions.
• Support governance and compliance efforts by helping ensure AI solutions align with ethical and regulatory standards.
• Evolve Process Management activities to elevate operational needs.
• Collaborate with STEPN (Security, Technology, Engineering, Product and Network) teams to identify enablement opportunities.
• Participate in workshops, demos, and training sessions to promote AI adoption.

Benefits

• Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual’s level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.
• Hourly Based Pay Range: Min: $ 26/hour, Max: $ 38/hour.
